Capturing Nonlinearity through Video

Engineers can't use pens to do their designs work, they need to be able to erase their mistakes, changes in thought. This poses a problem for a researcher of the design process. There is no document that can track the progress of the nonlinearit of the design process. One must cpature the change and progress through visual methods like video, rather than static documents like work products. Video translates the nonlinear path into a linear time based recording.
